we tested the north and east of Iceland

We invite you to discover, in some unusual or new stages, the unknown territories of the north and the east of Iceland. Far from Keflavík and Reykjavik.

1/ Forest Lagoon

Forest Lagoon is a new spa that opened on May 23. It is located in the Vaðlaskógur forest, a few minutes drive from Akureyri, the “capital of the north”. The natural geothermal water it uses from the mountain was discovered during a tunnel project. The brand new 1,300-square-meter complex includes two infinity pools with two water bars, a cold bath, a sauna and a bar. The facility can accommodate up to 200 visitors at a time and is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to midnight. All hotels and accommodations in downtown Akureyri are within a 25-minute walk. Single admission: €43.57. Admission for two people with two drinks included: €104.
