Where is Apple’s so-called search engine? – SEO and engine news

The rumor had once again run about a possible search engine created by Apple last week. And nothing happened, as usual…

We talked about it a fortnight ago: a (new) rumor announced a hypothetical announcement of a search engine by Apple on June 6, during the Apple WWDC event. We were used, almost since the beginning of the Web, to this type of announcement (moreover just before a keynote from the apple brand), so we had at that time expressed some doubts on this subject…

And what happened on June 6 during the event in question? Nothing. What a squeak. No. Tintin ! No announcement, even of an engine for Siri, which seemed to be the most serious potential lead. In short, it was only the 2,587th rumor about such an engine, an old fantasy of a boomer worshiper of the original apple, an eternal digital Arlesian!

More surprising in the end was the total absence of articles on this subject following this lack of announcement, on the part of the many websites which had announced this pseudo-novelty. If you can report a rumour, isn’t it logical to say that it was unfounded when you have knowledge of it?

In short, it will be necessary to get used, in the future, to this type of new rumor just before a big event of the Cupertino company, to make the buzz foam before the big day. We start a rumor via a tweet from a more or less known “influencer” and the case is in your pocket. As it relates to an old fantasy of many of us, sometimes it works. Except that after a while, it starts to show and wear out. In short, from now on, this type of manipulation is very likely to be stale even before the event itself. But also to tarnish the brand image of the company… Wanting to play too much…

That said, that won’t stop Apple from pocketing billions of dollars from Google to use its search engine. And that won’t prevent this rumor from returning to the same at the next keynote where Apple will be in need of a spectacular announcement. You bet? 😉

Well done anyway to Ahrefs for announcing its Yep engine instead. In the end, the big winners are them. Good game !
