An infographic that summarizes the major differences, but also the real complementarities between two very different professions: SEO (natural referencing) and SEA (search engine advertising)… Our Friday infographic is offered today by the Noiise site and covers the differences, similarities, advantages and disadvantages between SEO (natural referencing) and SEA (selling advertisements in the SERPs). The following points are thus addressed: relevance of traffic, specific targeting, short-term results, long-term results, budget management and return on investment. An infographic therefore on a very classic theme, but it never hurts to review the basics, especially nowadays where nice infographics around SEO do not run the streets (nor SERPs)… Let us also remember that the term “referencing” does not should only be applied to SEO. SEA is anything but “referencing”, as a historical habit unfortunately suggests that has often disturbed the understanding of our professions by people who do not know it and which has ultimately caused a lot of damage to the SEO profession.
