Even the rain over the weekend didn't stop the Gravy Boat Slowpitch Tournament from succeeding once again this year as the tournament was held in Long Harbour-Mount Arlington Heights during the second weekend in August.
There were eight teams decked out in varying colours playing in an A Division and a B Division.
The Burgundy Team took home top honours with the A Division Championship. That team was coached by Bev Bruce.
"Long Harbour is a terrific little town with lots of great people. Even the rain didn't stop us from having fun," Ms. Bruce said. "Each year our tournament keeps getting bigger and bigger. I would like to thank everyone who participated in the tournament and to those who helped me pull off another successful tournament."
The B Division Champions, the Blue Team, was coached by Rolanda White and assistant coach Eddie Bruce.
