Placentia/Whitbourne RCMP responded to a report of a single vehicle accident in North Harbour at 6:30 p.m. on Apr. 18. A cabin owner called the RCMP after he looked out his window and saw a car upside down in Collins Pond at the intersection or Routes 91 and 92 near North Harbour. The cabin owner attended and helped the three passengers out of the vehicle. No one was seriously injured, however the driver of the vehicle did have an injury to her lip. The driver had purchased the car six hours before the accident and was returning to St. John's after picking up a dog in Branch. The dog got loose from the person holding it in the back seat and jumped into the front seat distracting the driver and resulting in the accident.
